YMCA to Host Volunteer Fair

YMCA of Medicine Hat is hosting a volunteer fair tomorrow, January 12 from 5pm to 7pm at our Downtown Branch. As a charity, the Y is supported by volunteers who teach group fitness classes, carry out administrative tasks, greet and engage with gym members, assist in various programs, and help keep our facilities clean.

This event is an opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering to learn more about the YMCA and the positions we are looking to fill. These include:

Group Fitness Instructor

Climbing Wall Volunteer

Janitorial Volunteers

Youth Program Volunteers

Tutoring Volunteers

Special Event Volunteers

All volunteers receive orientation and training. Those who work 4 hours or more per month receive a complimentary Health Plus gym membership and have access to other benefits. Volunteers must be able to provide a clear Police Information Check (Vulnerable Sector Search is required for volunteer positions working directly with children or vulnerable adults).
