YouthWORKS
Earn while you learn with YouthWORKS!
The YouthWORKS Program is designed to assist youth aged 15 to 30 overcome barriers to employment. Participants will develop key employability and personal management skills that are critical to finding and maintaining meaningful work. Four to six weeks of paid in-class training is followed by six weeks of paid work experience with a local employer.
The YouthWORKS program will teach you:
safe work practices
conflict resolution
stress management
cover letter and resume development
goal setting
employee rights
time management
WHMIS training
First Aid/CPR
Are you Eligible for the YouthWORKS Program?
You are eligible for the program if:
You are between the ages of 15-30
You are NOT registered in school full-time
You are available to attend in-class training Monday to Thursday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM
You are willing to engage in employability and personal management skills training
