Ski Swap - Canadian Ski Patrol

The Canadian Ski Patrol - Palliser is hosting their annual Ski Swap on Saturday, Oct 22 at the South Ridge YMCA

Turn your used equipment into cash and get some great bargains on new and used ski and snowboard equipment for the upcoming season.

Ski Swap will be held at South Ridge YMCA (644 Spruce Way SE) in Medicine Hat.

Equipment registration and consignment is Friday October 21st, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

Registration:

  • FRIDAY from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

  • Equipment is subject to inspection.

  • CSP reserves the right to refuse equipment to be registered in the SWAP

  • All equipment registered is subject to a $2.00 per item registration fee

  • Registration fee to be paid at the time of registration

  • A 20% commission will be deducted from the selling price of items sold

  • Consignees receive a Canary coloured copy of their registration form. DON’T LOSE THIS. They need it for pick-up and cheque issuing on Saturday

  • Equipment donations are welcome!

Ski Swap trade show and sale is on Saturday October 22nd, 2022 from 9 AM until 5 PM.

We have 4 retailers coming. Two local stores: Gravity Sports and The Boarding House from Medicine Hat and Alpenland and Borderline from Lethbridge. This year we also welcome Castle Mountain Ski Resort and Elkwater Ski Club to our exhibit!

Sale:

  • Sale SATURDAY from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

  • Prices clearly marked on items.

  • Sticker prices are not negotiable.

  • Prices include all applicable taxes.

  • NO GST is added at check-outs.

  • All sales CASH, CHEQUE or eTransfer.

  • Seller contact information is NOT accessible to buyers.

  • Cheques for sold items and/or unsold equipment pickup after 3:30 PM.

Canadian Ski Patrol Palliser Zone is a registered charity dedicated to promoting ski safety and providing first aid and rescue service to skiers. Proceeds from the Ski Swap stay in the community and go toward the purchase of first aid and rescue equipment as well as the safety and education programs of the Canadian Ski Patrol in Palliser zone.

Accepted Equipment:

Downhill and cross-country skis.
Downhill and cross-country boots.
Downhill and cross-country poles.
Snowboards and boots.
Ski racks, gear bags, snowshoes.
New helmets.

We cannot accept:

X Damaged or obsolete equipment.
X Used helmets.
X Clothing (Jackets, Snow pants, etc.).
X Small items (toques, gloves, mitts, goggles).

Equipment Price Mark Downs:

Price reductions should be registered in advance at the time of registration.
Prices can only be changed by authorized SWAP coordinators. DO NOT CHANGE STICKER PRICES ON YOUR OWN.
Prices will NOT be marked down below $50.00.
The SWAP will close at 12:30 PM so volunteers can place the mark down stickers on selected equipment.
Not all items are marked down.
Doors will re-open at 1:00 PM.

Cheques for Items Sold:

Cheques for items sold in the SWAP will be available for pick-up after 3:30 PM.
20% commission will be deducted from the sale total.
Cheques are POST DATED to November 22, 2022 in order to allow SWAP purchase cheques to clear.

Unclaimed Equipment:

Equipment which is not picked up by 5:00 PM will become property of the Canadian Ski Patrol – Palliser Zone.

Equipment Pick-up:

VERY IMPORTANT – Consignees must always have the CANARY copy of their SKI SWAP registration form when checking for their equipment.
Consignees can return to the SKI SWAP after 3:30 PM on Saturday to see if their equipment has sold.
Consignees should check on the sales floor to see if they can locate their equipment.
If the Consignee cannot locate their equipment, they should go to the de-registration desk and ask if the equipment has been sold.
If their equipment has been sold, they will be advised. If not, we will help them locate it.
Consignee’s unsold equipment located on the sales floor should be taken to the de-registration desk to have it identified and recorded as being removed from the SWAP.
The Consignee’s registration form will be marked “picked-up” or sold: depending on the status of your equipment.
ALL UNSOLD EQUIPMENT MUST BE FORMALLY CHECKED-OUT OF THE SWAP

Call-ins:

Consignee’s must come to the SWAP in person to check the status of their equipment. There are no phones available to the SKI SWAP.
